The shortest version of this story is that Tim & Heidi developed the Model of Maturing Discipleship because leaders just like you asked them to! Tim and Heidi Indahl are long time educators with significant background translating research-driven educational best practice into classroom application. The Designed for Discipleship Model of Maturing Discipleship brings a child’s perspective into accompanying families on a journey of lifelong discipleship. The Model helps leaders respond to dynamic realities of child development while recognizing that friendship with Jesus starts now.
Tim has on the ground experience in K-12 classrooms, higher education, teacher preparation, and educational research. He holds a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah and is Montessori Elementary Certified (AMS). His focus is on adult continuing professional development needs and school applications of The Model of Maturing Discipleship.
Heidi is a former early childhood program administrator turned freelance instructional designer, published author, and experienced presenter with a MEd in Instructional Design. She focuses primarily on family and parish applications of The Model of Maturing Discipleship.
Tim and Heidi invite all catechetical leaders to engage cutting edge understandings in brain science to learn the awesome and wonderful ways that we are literally designed for discipleship. The Model of Maturing Discipleship helps you discover the intersection between quality education and authentic faith that will prepare students for lifelong discipleship, decreasing challenges with participation and engagement along the way.
